Supporting The Mental Wellness Needs of Your Early Career Professionals
Would you like to create an atmosphere of hope, joy, collaboration, and resilience for your young professionals?
Through simple, evidence-based, interactive workshops, you can make this happen!
Helping your Gen Z interns, apprentices, and new hires thrive isn’t just about onboarding—it’s about creating a workplace where they feel valued, supported, and equipped to succeed. Our organizational wellness workshops are designed to bridge the gap between traditional workplace expectations and the real mental health challenges young professionals face today—whether it’s digital burnout, imposter syndrome, or the struggle to set healthy work-life boundaries.
“Post-pandemic engagement trends vary widely across age generations, with younger employees feeling the most detached from their work and employers but baby boomers remaining engaged.”

As a licensed clinician with expertise in Gen Z mental health, I create trauma-informed, interactive workshops that meet young professionals where they are. I understand the challenges of hybrid work, the pressure to prove oneself in uncertain times, and the isolation that can come with starting a career in today’s fast-changing world. Through engaging, customized sessions, I help transform internship and early-career programs into communities where young employees feel understood, motivated, and ready to grow with your company.
For managers, this means higher retention, stronger engagement, and a workplace culture that supports emerging talent while easing managerial stress. Instead of spending extra time troubleshooting burnout or disengagement, leaders can focus on what they do best—guiding a team that feels empowered to contribute.
The generational trends in engagement have important implications for leaders and managers who want to attract, engage and retain younger workers in a post-pandemic world. To do so, they need to create a culture that builds trust, connection and growth.

Erin Stanley is a clinical social worker licensed in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.
In October 2021 Stanley launched Honey Bee Therapy, a virtual psychotherapy practice designed for millennials and Gen Zs navigating the complex relationships and systems of every day life.
One of her specialties is working with high-achieving professionals, often experiencing burnout and seeking strategies (sometimes permission!) to slow down and rest. As a result of this trend, Stanley extended her professional brand to include organizational wellness workshops for firms seeking to support their emergent workforce. Since 2020, she has offered virtual and in-person wellness workshops to young professionals and teams looking to build connection and enhance their mental and emotional wellbeing.
Utilizing her background in education and curriculum building, expertise in Gen Zs’ areas of concern, and deep understanding of the implications of a positive and productive workforce, Stanley's approach is evidence-based and collaborative. Her workshops are engaging and completely customizable, with the goal of supporting younger staff and their managers alike.
Stanley's passion for mental wellness drives her to work to ensure that her clients and teams feel safe, supported, and respected. She firmly believes in folks taking time to peel back their own layers and make new and interesting discoveries about themselves in order to show up fully and authentically, both personally and professionally.
Prior to launching Honey Bee Therapy, Stanley served as an educator and social worker in both schools and district-level school roles for over a decade.
Stanley began her career as an elementary school teacher in Atlanta, Georgia through Teach For America. She graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Psychology from Spelman College, and a Masters in Clinical Social Work from The University of Chicago. She is a 2024 Graduate of the Goldman Sachs One Million Black Women: Black in Business program, a member of American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists, and The Metro Richmond Chapter of The National Alumnae Association of Spelman College. Stanley is a 2020 New Leaders Council Virginia cohort member and she is proud to serve on the Board of Honoring Choices Virginia.

I gained valuable insight into myself. Through the self care workshop, I realized I've been neglecting the need for time away to rebuild and enjoy life, and now I feel empowered to schedule regular self-care opportunities moving forward.

The session allowed me to reflect on my behaviors and areas where I can improve. I gained clarity on what actions could make a positive impact in my life and recognize the importance of avoiding certain habits. I see there’s always room for growth, change, and the development of new habits. I am reminding myself to give grace during the process.

Workplace Wellness Matters
Investing in Workplace Wellbeing Is Worth It
Wellbeing isn’t just an employee expectation; it’s foundational to sustainable employee performance. When employees strongly agree their organization cares about their overall wellbeing, they are:
4.4 times as likely to be engaged at work
7 times as likely to strongly agree they would recommend their organization as a great place to work
73% less likely to feel burned out at work very often or always
53% less likely to be watching for or actively seeking a new job
50% more likely to be thriving in life

Gen Z Employees Are Struggling
"Many recent college graduates may struggle with entering the workforce for the first time as it can be a huge contrast from what they are used to throughout their education journey. They are often unprepared for a less structured environment, workplace cultural dynamics, and the expectation of autonomous work."
